Hey fellow Wanders,

You may have seen that we are back in full swing on the updating front and we would love to know what you would like to see on the site.

Of course Dream Weaver and I have had lots of ideas but this is a place for every one to share their love of it too, soo please get in touch and tell us your ideas.

It will take a while for the information to be posted up and some pictures and things. But I know you lovely people will be patient and love the end result. :)

Sooo keep Wandering, and hopes we will see this thing grow quickly :)

HAHAHAHAHA Hello fellow wanderes. Yes we are back after what seems like a very long time. Not that we really went away just havn't added anything new in a while but that is about to change. We are planning to be adding more and new content soon so keep a look out for it. Hello everyone. I just thought I drop a quick line and tell you a few of the things that we have coming up. we have received requests from some of you for specific information and we are working on getting it for you.So if any one�has any questions or requests please dont hesitate to contact either myself or Andie.

�As you know we are constantly adding little bits here and there even on the posts that are already up so ya never know what new info is going to be on there.

Some of the New things we have coming up: I think the one that im most excited about is we are going to have drawings of what some of the ceatures that Wanderer has been. Of course they will be the artists vision of what they personally think they look like. If you have some art of either the planets or the creatures or anything else Host related for that matter, and would like to have it displaed on here just contact me and well see if we can get it on. All my info is on the Contact Us.

We also got a request for the characters physical descriptions and we are already working on that and should have them up very soon.

Another request was for a time line of events. I think its a great idea and have started working on it. This one might take a while since it is a large book to go through and a lot of stuff happends but when I get a portion done I will post it and then just add on as I get more stuff.

I hope this has sparked your interest and you come back to visit often to see the new stuff thats constantly being added. Thanks again for all the feed back and questions. Keep em coming.

Hey guys I added a playlist of some of the songs that I think fit The Host rather well.� I pick songs for the lyrics most of the time so they usually relate to something, or some feeling in the book. Let me know what you guys think. If you have any questions about why I picked a particular song dont hesitate to ask. If you have any suggestions for songs let me know. Hope you enjoy!!!!! ROCK ON!!! Lost In The Desert

DESERT SURVIVAL

The Southwest desert, with its broad range of climates and topography, attracts many visitors each year. Although pleasant and mild most of the year, the weather ranges from ice cold wintertime temperatures high in the mountains to stifling heat in the summer on the flat, sandy desert floor. Many who venture into the desert do so without taking necessary precautions. There are inherent risks to those who travel into the desert including brilliant sunshine, low humidity, low rainfall, sparse shade and wide temperature fluctuations. All present threats to the unprepared.

There are many things to consider before taking a trip into the desert. Make sure your vehicle is in good repair. Extra engine coolant, radiator water and a tool kit (complete with extra hoses, engine oil and fan belts) should be brought along. Obtain a map of the area being visited and identify a travel plan that includes main roadways, trails, closest towns, etc.

Before leaving for a trip into the desert, inform a neighbor or relative as to exactly where you are going and when you expect to return. Keep them informed of your progress, especially if your plans change. Search and rescue organizations spend thousands of dollars each year looking for lost victims who neglected to tell anyone where they were going or when their plans changed.

Be sure to carry at least three gallons of fresh drinking water for each person in the vehicle. Some other items recommended for desert travel include waterproof matches, a cigarette lighter or flint and steel, a survival guide, pocket knife, metal signaling mirror, iodine tablets, a small pencil and writing materials, a whistle, a canteen cup, aluminum foil, a compass a first aid kit, and possibly a small hand gun with ammunition.

There is a risk of becoming lost when traveling off-road or hiking on trails. Become familiar with a map of the area and check local landmarks. When traveling, turn around occasionally and look back to familiarize yourself with the land layout from the other side. This will help make a mental picture of what it will look like when you return, or in case you become lost. When hiking, stay on established trails when possible. Mark your trail route with blazes on trees and brush, or making ducques (pronounced "ducks"), which are piles of three rocks stacked on top of one another.

When driving off-road through the desert, be sure the vehicle is designed for this type of activity. Start with a full tank of fuel, and bring a tow rope, tire pump, filled water cans and a shovel. In most cases, four-wheel drive vehicles are used for traveling over especially difficult terrain. If unfamiliar with the area, check difficult terrain for undercarriage clearance on foot before proceeding. Be alert for flash flooding when it is raining. If you become stuck in the sand, apply power slowly to gain gentle traction. Let a little air out of the tires.

IF YOU BECOME LOST

If you become lost while hiking on foot or traveling by vehicle, stay put! Sit down for a while and take stock of the situation. Stay with your vehicle if you came in one. Most lost or stranded victims would be rescued sooner if they resisted the urge to walk for help. It is better to conserve energy and prepare distress signals.

If you feel you can retrace your steps, mark your spot and leave a note. Then backtrack by following footprints or vehicle tracks. Consult a map and try to identify landmarks and other surroundings. Don't take shortcuts. Go to a high point and look around. Always move downstream or down country, but travel the ridges instead of washes or valleys.

Move with a purpose. Don't wander aimlessly. If you aren't absolutely sure you can follow your tracks or prints, stay put!

HOT WEATHER CONDITIONS

During hot weather, walk through the desert slowly and rest for 10 minutes every hour. Begin early in the morning or late in the day. Water and body temperature are critical to survival. A person requires about a gallon of water each day. Be sure extra drinking water is available as it may be the difference between life and death.

To reduce water loss, keep the mouth closed, breathe through the nose and avoid conversation. Do not drink alcohol. It causes dehydration. Digestion consumes water so don't eat food if there is not a sufficient amount of water available. Don't ration water in hot weather. When you are thirsty, drink. Conserve water as best as possible and look for more.

In the summer, ground temperatures can be 30 degrees hotter than the surrounding air temperature, so, when resting, sit at least 12 inches above the ground on a stool or a branch.

Body temperature is absorbed in three ways: from direct sunlight, hot air and heat reflected from the ground. Stay in the shade and wear clothing, including shirt, hat and sunglasses. Clothing helps ration sweat by slowing evaporation and prolonging the cooling effect. Travel at night or early in the day if possible.

Water sources can be located at the base of rock cliffs or in the gravel wash from mountain valleys, especially after a recent rain. Water may be found by digging three to six feet at the outside edge of a sharp bend in a dry stream bed. If wet sand is found, dig down into it to find seeping water. Green vegetation, tree clusters and other "indicator" shrubbery, such as cottonwood, sycamore, willow or tamarisk trees, may indicate the presence of water. Animal paths and flocks of birds also may lead you to water.

Cactus fruit and flowers may be eaten when food or water is scarce. Split open the base of cactus stalks and chew on the pith...but don't swallow it. Carry chunks of pith to alleviate thirst while walking. Other desert plants are not edible.

COLD WEATHER EXPOSURE

While the desert becomes very hot in the summer, it can become very cold in the winter. To avoid the cold, wear layered clothing including waterproofed garments. Eat when you are hungry. Exercise to keep body heat up and drink warm liquids. Be aware of behavior that isn't normal, such as excessive giggling, silence, excessive talking, etc. It is one of the first signs of hypothermia. Other signs include intense shivering, muscle tensing, fatigue, poor coordination, stumbling, and blueness of the lips and fingernails.

To combat hypothermia, shelter the victim from the wind and cold. Insulate them from the ground with newspaper, clothing, leaves or grass. Replace wet clothing with dry clothing. Wool or polypropolyene is preferable over cotton or synthetics because it stays warm when wet. The victim may have to be placed inside a sleeping bag with someone else to keep them warm. Provide warm liquids, food and sweets, but don't force them on someone who is unconscious.

SIGNALING FOR HELP

There are several things one can do to alert others for help. Disturb the natural appearance of the area such as with brush, rocks or dirt. Lay out signals and start a controlled fire. Three fires set in a triangle is an internationally-recognized distress signal. Generally, a fire can be built using any available fuel such as wood, a car tire or a car seat, which has been taken out of the vehicle.

In daylight hours, it is better to have a fire produce black smoke like a tire fire. Bright fires are best at night. Keep the fire burning at all times, if possible. If your fuel is limited, keep a small kindling fire burning and have your resources nearby to make the fire bigger in case you see someone who could come to help.

There are other distress signals which you can use. In a clearing, use newspaper or aluminum foil weighed down with rocks to make a large triangle. This is an accepted distress signal. A large "I" indicates to rescuers that someone is injured; an "X" means you are unable to proceed; an "F" indicates you need food and water. An adult may elect to fire three shots from a gun, which also is a recognized distress signal.

Healthcare in the caves

The Doc didnt have much to work with as far as Human medicine. When the Souls took over they had far more useful medicine and so Human medicine was pretty much useless so it was very hard to come by because the Souls had gotten rid of most of it since there was no need for it

Jared was able to steal some Morphine for Walter when he was in so much pain but it wasnt much. They also used liquor to keep Walter drunk to lessen his pain. They also had some chlorophorm to knock people out.

When Jamie got the infection in the knife wound and they were unable to find any antibiotics, Wanda and Jared went to a healing facility and she was able to steal the medicine that they nedded for Jamie.

Heres a list of the stuff that they were able to get and what it did.�

No Pain- was a little strip like tissue paper that you put on your tounge and dissolved.It was tasless.�It took any pain�

�� away.

Clean Inside- a pump spray that was sprayed into the air in front of your face and you inhaled it. It tasted like mint. It

�� would kill any microbes that might have gotten into your system.

Clean Outside- an aerosal spray, colorless and odorless that was sprayed onto a wound it would clean out anything foreign

�� in the wound and would kill of ant microbes that might infect it.

Heal- was a liquid that you would pour through a spout onto a wound. It was a clear liquid. It encouraged your tissues to�

��rejoin, and grow the way that they should.��

Seal- it was in a pliable tube. It was a thick, clear jelly. It was like glue and would close a wound and let the heal do its job

Smooth- an iridescent powder that you would pat on a wound to get rid of scars. There would always be a faint scar from a

�� deep wound.

Cool- a thin strip like tissue paper that was placed on the tounge to dissolve. It was light blue. As the name implies it was

�� used to cool down fevers.

Other Soul medicine and such that they got or used in the book.

Awake- was an aerosal spray that you would inhale. It smelled like grapefruit. It wore off in about 4 hours.�It�did what

�� the�name implies, it woke you�up. It cleared your head. This is what the seeker that stopped Wanda and Jared

�� after a raid, gave Wanda to wake her up since she said that she was tired.�

'Twilight' Writer Stephenie Meyer Wants Matt Damon For 'Host' Movie, Discusses Her Rabid Fanbase

In-demand author chats exclusively with MTV News about the controversy over her movie cameo, her dream of playing drums for Muse.

The first thing you notice is that Stephenie Meyer answers her own phone. Next is the fact that the "Twilight" author � who has sold millions of books, knocked "Harry Potter" off the best-seller list, and has Hollywood adapting her vampires-in-high-school novels into movies � possesses the sort of genuinely sweet, modest personality that makes you want to root for her success.

And Meyer's fans have done exactly that for the 34-year-old stay-at-home mom, who has transformed herself into America's J.K. Rowling. On May 6, the enormous line you'll see at your local Barnes & Noble will be the result of "The Host," a sci-fi novel that began inspiring fan sites six months ago.

Emerging from her busy schedule for a rare chat, the affable author spoke exclusively to MTV News about stepping outside her safety zone, the controversy over her movie cameo, and her dream of snatching Charlize Theron's body.

MTV: Give us a synopsis, if you could, of "The Host."

Stephenie Meyer: Well, one of my pet peeves is doing a synopsis, because I work best in long explanations � and after writing a 600-page book, it's kind of hard. But basically, the easiest way for people to get it in a nutshell is that it's "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," if the aliens had won. That gives you a sense of the horror, but these body snatchers are so kind and so good, and the world is such a good place when they're in charge, it makes it hard to hold their colonizing against them. Then there's the main [story] � that people don't give up even after [their bodies] have been given away as a host � and there are two entities with one body to share between them.

MTV: Your name is Stephenie Meyer, and your main character's name is Melanie Stryder. Should we be reading something into that?

Meyer: No, that wasn't on purpose. With names, for human characters that aren't 100 years old, I tend to look for people around me. Melanie is one of my cousins, and Stryder is actually someone I knew in high school.

MTV: Are the "Twilight" names people you know?

Meyer: Some of them. Jacob [Black], I didn't name him after my brother, but I do have a brother named Jacob, and then my other siblings were touchy about that. So all my siblings' names got in there. ... A couple of ex-boyfriends also have their last or first names tucked in there.

MTV: Your fans know about how "Twilight" started with a dream you had in 2003. Did you dream "The Host" as well?

Meyer: No. I wish I had a better story for how I came up with it, because I don't. ... I was on this really horrible, boring drive from Phoenix to Salt Lake City, just desert and ugliness, and my kids were in the back watching a movie. I was completely on my own and bored out of my mind. I tend to tell myself stories in those situations, and I just caught myself in the middle of this idea about two people sharing a body, both in love with the same guy.

MTV: Do you plan on writing "Host" sequels?

Meyer: I hope. If I were to continue on with "The Host," which is a possibility, there are characters and stories that could continue. ... If I went ahead with that, it would be two more. ... Next would be "The Soul," and then "The Seeker."

MTV: Now, I have to apologize if I did, in fact, spoil news on your cameo in the "Twilight" movie.

Meyer: You didn't, no, not at all. It's funny, I didn't really plan on mentioning it. I'm kind of shy in some ways, and I just figured I'd let it slide, and if people started to mention it, whatever. But somehow, some people got it in their heads that I was planning this big surprise revelation, which I wasn't.

MTV: That's a relief. I thought I might have to go into hiding.

Meyer: [The fanbase] is pretty quick-tempered sometimes. [Laughs.] I noticed that when we were casting the movie. People would just go, "I hate him! What have they done? It's all over!" And then people would warm up [to the actors] in about 30 seconds and give them a chance. I'm sure you are already forgiven.

MTV: It seems for every angry fan, there's a nice fan. Someone posted today on the Movies Blog that "Larry is made of awesome."

Meyer: I would have to agree with that. [Laughs.] I'm having a tremendous time reading all of your articles.

MTV: Well, there's a new signature for my e-mail! "Stephenie Meyer says Larry is made of awesome."

Meyer: [Laughs.] You can use that.

MTV: Were you nervous delivering the "vegetarian plate" line in your acting debut?

Meyer: I actually didn't say anything. [Director] Catherine [Hardwicke] kind of gave that impression in your interview, but they asked me to do a line and I said, "I can't do that." How horrible would it be if there was this moment where I'm so horrible and it just takes everybody out of the moment, and all of the suspended disbelief is gone, and everyone's like, "Wow, she sucked."

MTV: So you don't order the vegetarian plate?

Meyer: I apparently did, previously in the scene. I am delivered a vegetarian plate.

MTV: And is this diner in the Port Angeles scene?

Meyer: No, this is in Forks [Washington, where the "Twilight" books are based]. Charlie and Bella are out for dinner.

MTV: We're wrapping up our survey on an official name for the "Twilight" fanbase. Do you have a preference?

Meyer: I've been calling them Twilighters for a while, but I thought Twi-Hards was hilarious. Mike Welch [who plays Mike Newton in "Twilight"] came up with that, and I thought that was just adorable. It doesn't bother me either way.

MTV: Before the "Host" fans invent their name, do you have any suggestions?

Meyer: Oh, I hadn't even thought about that.

MTV: Hosters?

Meyer: Hosters. [Laughs.] It depends on who you're rooting for, because I've had some people who are really pro-souls. Soul Fans maybe?

MTV: You've said that when you write, you cast actors in the roles in your head. Would you like to see a "Host" movie? Who are your dream stars?

Meyer: I would. ... With "Twilight," I felt the actors needed to be up-and-coming artists that haven't been recognized yet. ... With "The Host," I think the actors could be really big names. That would be cool. I'd love to see Robert Redford put on a beard and be Jeb; he would be amazing. ... Matt Damon has some very Jared-esque qualities, and then [I'd love to see] Casey Affleck as Ian and Ben Affleck as Kyle. Imagine the interplay.

MTV: If you could invade anyone's body, � la "The Host," who would it be?

Meyer: I'd really like having a couple days of being a rock star, although I'd rather be a backup � like maybe the drummer for Muse. ... It would also be fun to be gorgeous, like be Charlize Theron, just for a couple of days.

MTV: Describe what it's like to be blessed with that moment of inspiration, when you have a new idea that you absolutely have to write down.

Meyer: Well, it's like you get this kernel of the story, with some really great points that could go many different ways. It's like the explosion of a kernel of popcorn. You've got this little thing with so much potential ... and it expands in front of you.

MTV: Have you ever had a kernel pop and then turn out to be a stale piece of popcorn that tastes like it's been sitting on a theater floor for two weeks?

Meyer: [Laughs.] I have quit one book.

MTV: You have?

Meyer: Yeah. The story was really sound, it was probably pretty good, except it was a chick-lit story. It was going to get funny, but I just got really bored with it. It was all humans, and that doesn't seem to be enough for me. I need a little element of fantasy to make it worth my interest.

MTV: Did you have a name for it?

Meyer: No.

MTV: And is it now thrown away forever?

Meyer: It's stuck in the computer. Nothing's ever thrown away.

The Dolphins

The Dolphins have a very different appreance from what we would call a dolphin.� They look like huge dragon-flies than a fish, they have a leathery appearance.� The number of wings which their body has depends on their age, they could have 3,4, or 5 sets of wings.� The Dolphins also have varying numbers of legs depending on their gender�also, they can have 5, 7, or 9 legs.� Their are three types of gender in the Dolphin species.

They have long hands and strong, tough fingers which are used to build all kinda of things.� They make their cities under water out of the plantation avaliable there, which are tree like in appearance.

6-9 grandparents stay with the larave through the 1st stage of its development, whilst the 3 parents work with their 6 grandparents on the new wing of the family dwelling for the young to inhabit when they are mobile.

Bears

The bears have a mass of around a adult sized buffalo.� They have 4 hearts inside their bodies to help keep them warm, along with thick white fur.�The female Bears have egg pouches on their stomachs in which they keep their eggs warm until birth.� The have 6 hands, probably most interesting about these Bears is their hands.� Their hands are designed with their habitat in mind.� There hands are double jointed they can bend either way. One side is soft like humans palms and the other side is like razors, this is used for ice cutting and sculpting.� The inside of their fingers are soft, these are used for shaping the ice into delicate sculptures.
